Elves were the first race to develop a language. Elven language is by far the most glorious spoken language on the planet, and to see it written can be a art form unto itself. What the Elves developed was something of pure beauty and grace. Though it is pleasing to the ear and eye Elven languages have a few flaws that have never seemed to fixed. Elves tend to use the same words for many different things and because of this they are forced to speak in relative terms or in broad terms. For example they have no direct word for a single tree, instead they need to speak of a forest or of nature in general. To the Elves this is not a problem because to the Elven ear the tone and the pitch of how the word is said denotes its true meaning, but this is lost to all of the other races. The other major flaw of many of the Elven languages is that speaking it properly takes time as it uses long words and is more sung then spoken. Again this is not a problem in the eyes of the Elves.
